Asia Pacific Digital (APD), a global online marketing and digital services provider with headquarters in Singapore and Sydney, plans to set up its information technology (IT) center in Manila. The plan follows the opening of a regional office center in Makati just last week.
The proposed IT hub will serve as a "back and front" IT center for global clients, according to Asia Pacific Digital chief executive officer Roger Sharp. Sharp said in an interview that the experienced pool of professionals in Manila is small but quickly growing.
Instead of setting up HQ in India, Sharp said that Asia Pacific Digital favored the Philippines due to the country's talented and flexible IT-BPO employees who communicate well, exhibit a strong work ethic, and are able to work effectively with international team members.
